2017 has so far proven to be a significant year, starting off with outstanding performances at both the Roundhouse and Shakespeare’s Globe. The second half of the year promises to be no less adventurous for one for the UK’s great innovators in music. Born in London to South Indian parents, Susheela Raman, along with producer/guitarist Sam Mills, has released a string of acclaimed albums and gained a reputation for intense out-of-the- ordinary live performances. In the coming months several ambitious collaborative musical projects are coming to fruition:

  • Ghost Gamelan: album release confirmed

  • SACRED IMAGINATIONS: Part of Transcender at the Barbican, 30 September

  • Mumbai Paddy Fields Festival featuring rising folk star Kutle Khan, 7 October

  •  Abu Dhabi: Queen Between with Rizwan Muazzam Qawal, Malcolm Catto (of the Heliocentrics) and French percussion virtuoso Lucie Antunes, 19 October

  • Salt Rain revisited in France, November 2017
